ContentManagementCourse.com – Privacy Policy
Who We Are
Welcome to ContentManagementCourse.com (the “Site”).
We understand that privacy online is important to users of our Site, especially when conducting business. This statement governs our privacy policies with respect to those users of the Site (“Visitors”) who visit without transacting business and Visitors who register to transact business on the Site and make use of the various services offered by ContentManagementCourse.com (collectively, “Services”) (“Authorized Customers”).
Our website address is: https://contentmanagementcourse.com.
What Personal Data We Collect And Why We Collect It
“Personally Identifiable Information” refers to any information that identifies or can be used to identify, contact, or locate the person to whom such information pertains, including, but not limited to, name, address, phone number, fax number, email address, financial profiles, social security number, and credit card information.
Personally Identifiable Information does not include information that is collected anonymously (that is, without identification of the individual user) or demographic information not connected to an identified individual.
What Personally Identifiable Information is collected?
We limit the collection of personally identifiable user information on this website to confirmed opt-ins from email subscribers and visitors who initiate contact through our contact form.
Additional information collected on this site that could be considered identifiable may include IP addresses and may be collected by third-party services and organizations (see below).
How does the Site use Personally Identifiable Information?
We use Personally Identifiable Information to customize the Site and content for the Site. We may email Visitors and Subscribers about research or purchase and selling opportunities on the Site or information related to the subject matter of the Site. We may also use Personally Identifiable Information to contact Visitors and Authorized Customers in response to specific inquiries or to provide requested information.
The section below provides more details about how this site uses data collected from users.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it.
The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Currently, we do not allow visitors to post comments or register as users on this site, so no user information is being collected via the comments feature.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
We use an image compression plugin on the site (Smush by WPMU DEV). Note: Smush does not interact with end users on your website. The only input option Smush has is a newsletter subscription for site admins only. Smush sends images to the WPMU DEV servers to optimize them for web use. This includes the transfer of EXIF data. The EXIF data will either be stripped or returned as it is. It is not stored on the WPMU DEV servers.
Smush uses a third-party email service (Drip) to send informational emails to the site administrator. The administrator’s email address is sent to Drip and a cookie is set by the service. Only administrator information is collected by Drip. For more information, see WPMU’s privacy policy.
Opt-In Forms
We only collect the first name and email address details of subscribers for the purposes of sending them the information they have opted in to receive and these details are stored with our email service provider (Aweber).
Contact Forms
We use a contact form plugin on the site. Data collected by the plugin may include IP address, user agent, name, email address, website, and message.
Emails sent through our contact form are stored in our email application and then either deleted after a response has been sent, or kept if we need to store it for our records and archived after 6-12 months.
If you submit details on the site using our contact form, we may delete it immediately upon acting on your request or keep your personal data on file for up to 12 months for customer service purposes only. We do not use the information submitted through our contact form for marketing purposes.
Cookies
Cookies are used for a variety of reasons. We use cookies to obtain information about the preferences of our visitors and the services they select. We also use cookies for security purposes to protect our registered users. For example, if a registered user is logged on and the site is unused for more than 10 minutes, we will automatically log the registered user off.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded Content From Other Websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

What organizations are collecting the information?
In addition to our direct collection of information as stated above, we use third-party services such as Aweber (email marketing), Google (Analytics), and integrations with social media networks (Facebook, “Twitter, etc.) to share our content. Currently, we do not use credit card companies, clearinghouses, or banks that may provide such services as credit, insurance, or escrow services and would need to collect information from our Visitors, Subscribers, and Authorized Customers. We do not control how these third parties use such information, but we do ask them to disclose how they use personal information provided to them by Visitors, Subscribers, and Authorized Customers. We have entered into and will continue to enter into partnerships and other affiliations with a number of vendors. We audit our security systems and processes on a regular basis. Sensitive information, such as credit card numbers or social security numbers, is protected by encryption protocols, in place to protect information sent over the Internet. While we take commercially reasonable measures to maintain a secure site, electronic communications and databases are subject to errors, tampering, and break-ins, and we cannot guarantee or warrant that such events will not take place and we will not be liable to Visitors or Authorized Customers for any such occurrences.
